About Dominic Cools-Lartigue

Dominic Cools-LartigueFounder, Studio Mazaar
I’ve spent my career reading culture, finding what’s missing and building what comes next.
It started in London’s underground dance music scene in the mid-90s, booking artists like Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx and Roni Size. In 2012 I founded Street Feast, pioneering London’s night market culture and giving early platforms to brands like Bao, Smokestak, Bleecker and Pizza Pilgrims.
Through Studio Mazaar I work with clients on hospitality concept development, brand strategy, operational planning and launch. At Great Northern Market in Manchester Airport, the UK’s first airside food hall, I led the naming, brand development, operator curation and the design of a complex multi-kitchen operation.
With The Tramshed Project we built a multi-use hospitality hub during the pandemic. A Plate for London fed more than 35,000 people in its first year. The Great Feast of London was one of the city’s first virtual festivals, delivering 1,000 restaurant meals across London with DJ sets from Goldie and Basement Jaxx.
What connects all of it is a refusal of the false choice between cultural credibility and commercial performance. Both are possible when the idea and the intention are right.
I’m open to consulting projects, partnerships and conversations about where hospitality goes next.
The principle
Why it worksPut the right independents, the right audience and the right experiences in one address, and the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
That held at a yard in Dalston in 2012 and it held inside an airport terminal in 2026. The form changes. The principle holds.
